To The Moon And Back

It's not too soppy, no hearts and there is an engine involved.  Perfect images to use for the Valentine card to send to your bloke.  And Retro Rocket and Moon from Dr Digi won't cost you the earth especially if you combine them with another space themed digi!

Coloured with Promarkers and I've stamped the sentiment with my trusty little Studio G alphabet stamps.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Brown Sugar:  Valentine
Sister Act Card Challenge:  Anything Goes
Crafty Gals Corner:  Let's Hear It For The Boys

Little Snowman

You'd have thought I'd have been able to finish this card and blog it a little quicker than I have as it is rather clean and simple and didn't take me long at all to make it!  I've used the free progressive stamp by From The Heart Stamps.  It's a while since I've joined in as time has just got away from me but I was determined this month!

I've used some lovely white linen effect cardstock, printed the image directly onto the card and then coloured with Promarkers and some glitter glue.  Embroidery thread and charm are all from my stash. I've also added glitter glue around the edge of the card.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

From The Heart Stamps:  Monthly Progressive Challenge
Di's Digi Challenge:  Sparkle
Daring Cardmakers:  Keep Your Hat On
Pattie's Creations:  Fun In The Snow

Beer

I decided not to use any papers for the sketch challenge at From The Heart Stamps so just layered the coloured by Promarkers image onto some black card and then directly onto the card blank.  Sentiment comes with the stamp.

I've used a We R Memory Keepers stitch tool which made the holes and then I joined them up with a black fineliner pen.  And the bottle top is one I carefully removed from a bottle of cider a while ago!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Fussy and Fancy:  Things With Wings
CRAFT:  Recycling (bottle top)
Crafting For All Seasons:  Things With Wings
Ruby's Rainbow:  Masculine Birthday
From The Heart Sketches:  Sketch followed

Polkadoodles Challenge - Inspiration Post - CASE It

The current Polkadoodle challenge still has a week to go and the theme is:

CASE It!

I've CASE'd Susan from back in August - the original post is here.  I've used the female horse rider from Work and Play 6 and coloured them with Promarkers.  The fence and grass are Sizzix die cuts and I made the rosette myself - numbers are Cuttlebug die cuts.

Hope you can join in with the challenge!  For more details on how to enter and for more inspiration, pop over to the blog!

Simply Create Too - Challenge 77 - Midway Inspiration

We are part way through the challenge over at Simply Create Too and the theme is:

Mother's Day / For A Female

I've used a fab image from Tiddly Inks - Wryn Skater Girl which I've coloured with Promarkers.  I've fussy-cut it and added to the card base with foam pads.  Papers are Echo Park - Summerday Papers and I've even decorated the inside of the card (a rarity for me!)

The stitching is faux - I used a We R Memory Keepers tool to create the holes and then used a black fineliner to join them up.  Sentiment is a stamp from Funky Hand - part of the Our Betty Your Special Day set.

Good luck with the challenge!

Crafting By Designs - Guest Designer - Get Well / Under The Weather

I was lucky enough to be featured in the Saturday Spotlight at Crafting By Designs before Christmas and was asked to be a future Guest Designer.  The theme is:

Get Well / Under The Weather

I've used this fab digi from Funky Hand - Rainy Day Georgie and I've coloured her with Promarkers, cut her out and added to the card blank.

Ribbon is from my stash and I've used Sizzix Girls are Weird die cuts for the letters - the papers are also from Funky Hand.  Good luck with the challenge - for more details pop over to Crafting By Designs.

Time For Coffee

Coffee keeps me busy until it's time to be drunk.  Hmmm, not quite true but still, the thought is there! And if you're in the market for some funny (and perhaps appropriate) sentiments then look no further than Funny Sentiment Sheet 1 from Dr Digi.  A total snip at £1.50!

I've used a kraft card blank plus a fancy X Cut die and a little wooden frame.  Added some bakers twine and an hourglass charm from my rather extensive ebay collection.  Some half pearls (again ebay!) and card is complete!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Dream Valley Challenges:  Anything Goes

I've kept it quite simple - used a Kraft card blank and added some buttons from my rather extensive stash, plus some half pearls (again rather extensive collection!)  The sentiment is from a Polkadoodles cd and I've printed it directly onto the card.  Embroidery thread is also from my stash along with the charm.

Good luck with the challenge!

Relax

There is nothing better than listening to the wireless perched on the side table with a bottle of dark rum ready to go.  Ah, the Motown classics.  Subline.  Images from Dr Digi - combined cost of £1.50 - bargain!

This was a special request card for a work colleague as her brother likes Motown and Dark Rum!

Polkdadoodles Challenge - Inspiration Post - Tic Tac Toe

The new Polkadoodle challenge started last Friday and lasts for another week - the theme is:

Tic Tac Toe

Pop over to the challenge blog for the actual image and details of how to join in!

I've gone for something simple and used the bottom row - Embossing, Buttons and Polka Dots. I found some laser cut hearts (perfect for Valentine's Day!) in my stash when having a tidy up and teamed it with some hot red polka dot paper from Work and Play 5 - Festive Hollybobs.  Everything else is from my stash.

The embossing is a Cuttlebug folder - Swiss Dots and I've used a Nestabilities die for the shape. Good luck with the challenge!

Ford Pop

Time to go a little vintage and retro.  And time to visit the cheapies section over at Dr Digi!  A wealth of opportunity for a £1 and under - go fill your boots!

And here is a prime example of what your £1 can buy - a Ford Pop!  I've teamed it with a background sheet from Polkadoodles and a vintage car advert from the 1930's.  A Memory Box die has been used for the tree and I've used the card from a Graze box!  Recycling at it's best!

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 71 - Penguins

Happy New Year!  It's time for another Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme for the fortnight is:

Penguins

Pop over to the blog to enter - the challenge closes on Wednesday 14 January at 12noon

I've used two Penguin toppers that I found in my stash along with the ribbon which I've probably had for years!  The snowflakes are a Sizzix die and I've used offcuts of card plus half pearls.  All are attached to the pop up box with wire.  Charms are from my stash (well, ebay originally!)

I've used a Spellbinders die to cut the edge of the flaps - you can't actually see them due to the angle of the photo and I've also added glitter glue around the edges of the flaps and back panel.

Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:
