Spotty Christmas

Here is another card I've made with papers and quick topper from the brand new Magical Winter double cd from Polkadoodles. It's due to be launched on 5 July on Create and Craft (Sky 671) but you can pre order both cd1 and cd2 in a special multi deal saver and the best bit is - no minimum order on the Polkadoodles website and free shipping worldwide!

All the papers and the topper are from the cd's and there are lots of other quick and easy toppers just like this one - great for making cards with the kids!

I've followed the Crazy 4 Challenges sketch:
I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenges: Anything Goes
Ladybug Crafts: Christmas In June - plus blog hop (see below!)
Craft Your Passion: Seeing Red

  • Everything! Magical Winter double cd from Polkadoodles

I Need A Cuppa!

Here's another card I've made with the new Tea's Up download from Funky Hand! A great collection of papers and toppers and three different coloured mini alphas too!

Everything you see on the card with the exceptions to the dots is from the download. I've followed the Sketch and Stash sketch - the new stuff is the download and the old is the splodgy dots as its ancient Anita's 3d paint! Hence the dodgy splodges!

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Bows and Berries: Thank You / Appreciation
Wee Memories: Party Time (Tea Party!)
Aud Sentiments: Food / Drink Theme

  • All paperbased items: Tea's Up download from Funky Hand
  • Everything else: My stash

Pink Christmas Cupcake

This is a sneak preview of the brand new double cd due to be launched on 5 July on Create and Craft (Sky 671) by Nikky from Polkadoodles! The new double cd (you can buy the parts separate if you wish) is called Magical Winter and it can be pre-ordered too! Plus, there is no minimum order on the website and free shipping worldwide!

I've made the card using all paper elements from the cd's plus the cupcake topper. I've decoupaged the cupcake and added glitter glue and glossy accents. The tiny stars have been made with a punch.

I've used the sketch from Christmas Challenges - with Sketches:
The edges of all panels and the card have been dotted with liquid pearls and I've used ribbon from my stash. Watch out for another peek at the cd soon!

This card also fits the following challenges:

Winter Wonderland:
Pretty in Pink Christmas
ABC Christmas: M is for Monochrome
Crafty Ann's Challenge: Christmas in June

Dude Time Doodles - July New Releases & Blog Hop!

It's the last Wednesday of the month so its time to reveal the new Dude Time Doodles images and to kick it all off we have a blog hop for you!

One of the Dudettes will be the hostess with the mostest and one lucky commenter will win a digi image! So make sure you leave me a comment - I've not yet been the hostess so this could be the one!!

If you've arrived at me from Michelle then you are on the right track although there is no start and end point, just make sure you've visited us all! From me you need to hop to NanaConnie and leave a comment there too!! For my creation, I've made a double wobble card! It wobbles from side to side (well, rocks really) and the actual image is on a spring so he really does wobble! Kyle Karate is a new release for July and he's been coloured with Promarkers. Both my boys have martial arts lessons and both loved this image! The paper is from Funky Hand - Craft The Year Away cd along with the wobble card template. The letters have been cut from silver card with my Sizzix Round-a-Bout alphabet and the two silver stars are table confetti.

There are new Dudettes joining the gang - please give a warm welcome to Michelle, NanaConnie, Dawn and Linda!

Good luck with the hop and don't forget to leave a comment! Once I'm awake I'll directly link to the blogs in the hop before and after me!

Mermaid

It's been a while since I managed to join in with a Pattie's Creation challenge and just had to when I saw the cute photo of Pattie's Grand-daughters who looked like mermaids in bright orange lifejackets! So I've used the mermaid image, coloured her with Promarkers and I've added a few bubbles of glitter glue.

All the papers I found in my box of left overs and are a mix of Funky Hand and Polkadoodles. The image has been layered onto some pearlescent paper which was a recent generous donation from Lynsey!

The ribbon and flowers and brads are all from my stash and I was glad to be able to use some of the orange brads as I seem to have quite a few left from a mixed pack! I've used the Sweet Stop Sketch for inspiration:

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Crazy Challenge: Beautiful Women

My Partner In Crafting Crime: Beach Theme

Pollycraft Challenge: Water Theme

Corrosive Challenges: Slippery When Wet

Sparkles Forum: At The Beach

Getting Cricky: Summer Theme (Rebecca 'Crafting Misfit' sent me!)

Welcome to the very first Fetch A Sketch challenge! Jenny and I have been on pins so we are quite glad today is finally here! We are a bi-weekly Monday sketch challenge and we hope that our sketches will inspire you to create!

For our launch we have two wonderful and very generous sponsors:

Anice has offered the following as a prize:

Papercraft Factory - Dreams Come True cd

Our Betty Clear Acrylic Stamps - Your Special Day

Button Pack - Remember December

And Nikky has offered the following prize:

Sugar Birdies Collectors Edition cd

Fairy Flutterby Rubber Stamp - Gracie

Fru Fru Boutique Ribbons - Reds

If you are familiar with my blog you will know that I design for both Funky Hand and Polkadoodles. For more about each sponsor, just click on their logos above!

For our first challenge there will be two winners. For more details on the challenge please go to the Fetch A Sketch challenge blog.

The sketch that we are asking you to follow is: You can rotate it, flip it, resize it and add embellishments or a sentiment where ever you want, just as long as we can see the elements of the sketch.

For my examples - I've made some teacher thank you cards for Samuel's teachers (how organised am I?!) and I've used elements and papers from Sundae of Seasons from Polkadoodles. These are quite small cards and all are from one sheet of A4 card. I've doodled a faux stiched line around the edge of the card and layers.

The little apple I have decoupaged and added glossy accents to the pips. The little dots are made with 3d Anita's paint and the 'string' is plastic - a bit like the strawberry lace sweets!

Good luck with the challenge - for more details please visit the challenge blog and enter your creation via the blue frog. Closing date for entries is 12noon GMT on Sunday 10 July and the two winners will be announced on Monday 18 July. You can use any of your stash and there is no limit on the number of challenges you can enter.

I'd like to enter my cards into the following challenges:
Creative Inspirations: Stitching (real or faux)
Crafts and Me Challenges: Stitches

  • All paperbased elements: Sundae of Seasons from Polkadoodles

  • Plastic string: My stash

Tea's Up!

Yep, Tea's Up! It's the title of a brand new download from Funky Hand which has been released today! There are lots of wonderful papers which actually include some tea splodges on them, a page of toppers and sentiments and some mini alphas too. Here is one of the samples I've made and I've followed the Ellephantastic Challenge sketch for June.

All the papers including large topper and sentiment are from the Tea's Up download - I've simply layered up the topper and sentiment, added a wobbly doodle, inked edges and added some buttons! The button twine is from The Ribbon Girl and I can see me getting some more of this as its fab!

This is quite a titchy card - about 10cm square so don't think that my buttons are huge ones!

And if the download does fall into your shopping cart, have a look at the Funky Hand challenge blog too - there is a download as a prize for the winner and its open until 14 July!

Oh, and don't forget - Fetch A Sketch launches tomorrow morning at 9am!

I'd also like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Aud Sentiments: Food or Drink Theme
Stampin' B's: Frendship Sentiment

  • All paperbased items: Tea's Up download from Funky Hand
  • Button twine: The Ribbon Girl

Strawberries V Chocolate

And in my opinion, chocolate wins every time!! This card is for the Tiddly Inks challenge which is:

Sugar and Spice with a Twist (sarcastic or humorous card)

I've coloured the Tiddly Inks image with Promarkers and she's got glossy accent glasses! All the papers are from Funky Hand - Craft The Year Away cd and I've just rounded the edges and inked them.

The image has been dotted around the edge with a fine black pen as it looked a little lost. The sentiment is computer generated and was thought up by my brain.

I've followed the wonderful Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketch (always great for inspiration and making a card come alive!)

Don't forget! Fetch A Sketch launches at 9am tomorrow with two fabulous sponsors - so you won't want to miss it!

I'd also like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Guylou's Inimitability Challenge: Sweet Summer (word sweet on front of card and summer theme)

Aud Sentiments: Food or Drink Theme

  • Image: Tiddly Inks, coloured with Promarkers

Red, White and Blue (and Yellow!)

I think I got a little carried away with all the stars on this! The image is from Dustin Pike and is for the current challenge which is:

Red, White and Blue

I've coloured the image with Promarkers and used a very generous clear out donation from Lynsey for the thin mulberry type red and blue papers. The buttons are from my stash and I've added Divine Twine from the Ribbon Girl to the centres. The larger stars have been cut with a Cuttlebug die and the tiny ones are a punch, again from Lynsey.

I've added a faux running stitch around the edge of the card and the sentiment is computer generated and I've used some Safmat from Letraset which, despite looking daunting to use on the packet was really simple! I've followed the current sketch from Digi Doodles Shop's Best:

And if you've not already popped over to the Fetch A Sketch pre launch party - please do so but be quick as it ends on Sunday 26 June! Some candy on offer to two lucky commenters plus some extra prizes along the way! The Fetch A Sketch challenges launch on Monday 27 June at 9am!

Polkadoodle Challenge 25 - Stashbox Stamp - Red, White & Blue

Welcome to another Polkadoodle challenge! This week the DT have been tasked with raiding through their stamp box (or digi stamp folder) to find an image to use with Polkadoodle papers. The challenge to you is a colour theme:

Red, White and Blue

I've used KO Kurt from Dude Time Doodles and he's been coloured with Promarkers. The sentiment is from Raindrop Echo Designs and I've cut it into a star shape.

All the papers are from the very fab Fathers Day Download (I really do like this collection!) and I've inked the edges. The red, white and blue divine twine is from The Ribbon Girl.

Good luck with the challenge - its open until Sunday 3 July at 12noon GMT.

Wobbly!

A very wonderful challenge this week over on Daring Cardmakers and it is to make:

Rocking All Over The World - A Wobble Card

I really do like making wobble cards and this particular one is no exception! It's made with a sheet from CraftsUPrint and I've simply layered up all the decoupage elements. I've added glossy accents and glitter glue to the bubbles and dotted liquid pearls around the edge of the card.

The ribbons are from my stash and were a perfect length to tie a big bow at the top!

And if you've not already popped over to the Fetch A Sketch pre launch party - please do so but be quick as it ends on Sunday 26 June! Some candy on offer to two lucky commenter's plus some extra prizes along the way! The Fetch A Sketch challenges launch on Monday 27 June at 9am!

I'd like to enter the card into the following challenges too:

Scrapbook Sisters: Anything Goes
Spoonful of Sugar: Ribbon and Bows
Paper and Such: Photo Inspiration
There's Magic In The Air: Photo Inspiration

  • All printed elements: CraftsUPrint

Circle Card

Just when you thought it was safe - I make another Christmas card! This time I'm following a rather lovely sketch from The Sweet Stop. I've used Dovecraft Let It Snow papers both 12x12 and 6.5x4.5 sizes. The sentiment is from a 99p Studio G acrylic set.

The snowman is a digi image from Zlatoena Designs and he's been coloured with Promarkers plus a little glitter glue. I've added some ribbon where the different papers meet and also to hide the rather messy and nasty glue from trying to stick the icicles to the card - yeah, they look great but are a right bu**er to glue! That will be why they are actually for decorative purposes and not cardmaking! The tinsel that came off the icicles has also been added to the card.

A bit of inking, faux running stitch and liquid pearls and the card is complete!

I'd also like to enter the card into the following challenges:

Creative Craft World: Christmas in June
I Love Promarkers: Anything Goes
Crafty Sentiments: Monochromatic

Made With Love

There is an exciting announcement over on Dude Time Doodles - we have another artist join Bonibleaux Designs - the one and only Marlooney! If you've not had the pleasure of viewing her blog then I suggest you do so but not whilst consuming any liquid or food as it will end up splattered on your screen!

And in honour of the occasion, the Dudettes got to play with some of Marlene's images and I chose Fanny Fart. The title says it all really! I've coloured her in pinks cos she is still a lady despite the omissions plus a little glitter glue. I've made a voluptuous throne room doorhanger from papers by Funky Hand - Craft The Year Away and the shape is all my own doing! I drew round various rolls of tape to make the circles. The hole has been cut with a Nesties and I've recycled it as a tag and attached the sentiment 'Made With Love Especially For You'.

The ribbon and paper rose is from a recent generous donation from Lynsey (yep - its all tidied away!) I've added a faux running stitch around the edge of the door hanger and inked the edges.

If you want to read the whole interview and story, head over to Dude Time Doodles!

More Poppy Notes

I enjoyed making the last set of note cards so much that I decided to make some more with another poppy image in the set from Tiddly Inks! Again I've used off cuts of card to make these long thin note cards.

I've coloured the poppies with Promarkers and added glossy accents to the centres. The sentiment has been stamped with a little Studio G alphabet stamp set and I've added a faux stitched border around the edges.

Red organza and satin ribbon is from my stash and I've tied some button twine in from The Ribbon Girl.

I'd like to enter the note cards into the following challenges:
Sir Stampalot: Photo inspiration (field of poppies)
The Rubber Cafe: Summer
Hanna and Friends: In The Garden
Peachy Keen - Let's Face It Friday's: Patriotic (red for St George's cross of England!)

  • Stamps: Tiddly Inks, coloured with Promarkers and Glossy Accents

Dungarees

I found a dungaree template whilst blog hopping and I'm sorry but I can't remember where I got it from so cannot credit the designer. I've added a little t-shirt to the inside of the card with pearlesecent paper and I've added a faux running stitch around the edges.

I've used a sheet of Debbie Mumm's Nursery Rhyme 6.5 x 4.5 glittered stack for the actual dungarees and also added a faux running stitch around the edges with a blue gel pen. The buttons are from my stash and the button twine is from The Ribbon Girl. The pocket has been added with an off cut and is on foam pads.

And if you've not already popped over to the Fetch A Sketch pre launch party - please do so! Some candy on offer to two lucky commenters plus some extra prizes along the way! The Fetch A Sketch challenges launch on Monday 27 June at 9am!

Get Funky Challenge - Sketch

It's my turn to hopefully inspire you for the current Get Funky! Challenge! This month Anice is our hostess and she's provided a wonderful sketch to work with:

I decided to alter an address book that had a rather horrid cover and have used papers and the little house digi stamp is from the workspace section of Colour Me Happy which has been coloured with Aquamarkers. I've used a Nestie for the shape and have dotted liquid pearls around the edge.

I also decided to use the sketch to make a new house card. Papers are from the Salt and Pepper download and the image is from Dreams Come True. The ribbon and tiny key charm are from my stash.

Good luck with the challenge - for more details go to Get Funky and the deadline is 14 July.

And if you've not already popped over to the Fetch A Sketch pre launch party - please do so! Some candy on offer to two lucky commenters plus some extra prizes along the way! The Fetch A Sketch challenges launch on Monday 27 June at 9am!

Something Old, Something New, Something Blue

As you know, I do like sketches and once again I've used a Sweet Sketch Wednesday for inspiration. The image is by Lee Jacobs and it's been bought from CraftsUPrint and I've coloured it with Promarkers plus a little glitter glue here and there although its difficult to see on the photo.
The papers are off-cuts from making a wedding wordbook and are from the I Do! Wedding download from Funky Hand. I've used a Martha Stewart punch for the fancy bits and dotted liquid pearls in the spaces. All the flowers are from Hobbycraft and are a fairly recent purchase. The ribbon I found in my stash and was just the right size! I've made the hat pin with some faux pearl beads from a necklace I bought in a charity shop with the intention of chopping it up and using the elements.

Poppy Notes

I've directly printed onto the card with these poppy images as the Tiddly Inks challenge this week is:

One Layer

It wasn't quite as easy to print 3 on a sheet of A4 as the printer doesn't like the last bit of the card so I had to print two then turn the card around and print the last one! The poppy image is part of a small set that I was sent by Christy for taking part as a guest in the recent Tiddly Inks Treasure Hunt, so to use them was perfect for this challenge!

I've coloured them with Promarkers and added a faux running stitch around the edges with a fineliner black pen. All the buttons are from my stash and the button twine is from The Ribbon Girl as I won a recent Penny Black Saturday challenge and they were the sponsor! Really quick delivery and great communication from them too!

Simply Create Challenge 46 - Wings

Welcome to another Simply Create challenge! The theme this fortnight is:

Wings

But I've interpreted it slightly differently as you can see! I've made a shaped helicopter card using the template from Polkadoodles Paper Boutique Vol 3. The wings element is the flying aspect of the helicopter! I've used the A5 pre coloured template, cut all the shapes out and then layered up using foam pads.

The helicopter is attached with a strip of acetate and helps to support the card with its 'feet'. Hope you can join in the challenge this fortnight -for more details, please visit the challenge blog! Good luck!

And if you've not already popped over to the Fetch A Sketch pre launch party - please do so! Some candy on offer to two lucky commenters plus some extra prizes along the way! The Fetch A Sketch challenges launch on Monday 27 June at 9am!

My card fits the following challenges:

Dutch Dare Card Challenges: For The Boys
Meljiens Designs: Red, White and Blue
Shelly's Images: Men / Boys
Bloggers Challenge: Its Manly, Baby!

  • All paperbased items: Polkadoodles Paper Boutique Vol 3

Polkadoodle Challenge 24 - Thing That Flutter

Welcome to another Friday and a Polkadoodle challenge! The winner of the Polkadoodle blog candy that I had on offer from challenge 21 and the blog hop is:

Congratulations! Please email me (address is in the sidebar) with your full postal details and I will get the cd off to you!

Right, onto this week! Our challenge is Things That Flutter. I've used the lovely dragonflies from Sundae of Seasons cd. I printed them off in A5 size and twice so I could layer them up. The edges of the wings and the end of the body have had the glitter treatment and I've added the antenna with wire and seed beads.

I've added some tiny magnets to the reverse and I've actually pinched them from the front of our freezer door so if Jacob ever finds out I'll be in trouble! The dragonflies actually live on my once rather posh container of very special chocolate powder which is now full of all my buttons!

Good luck with the challenge - its open until Sunday 26 June at 12noon GMT.

And if you've not already popped over to the Fetch A Sketch pre launch party - please do so! Some candy on offer to two lucky commenter's plus some extra prizes along the way! The Fetch A Sketch challenges launch on Monday 27 June at 9am!
